TAMPA FILM CONFERENCE

a Tampa Bay Film event series

ABOUT THE TAMPA FILM CONFERENCE

It's a really good idea. The Tampa film scene needs this, and we know it is a good idea.

That's why we are doing this. It needs to be done right, too, which is another reason why we are doing this. Save Tampa indie film, and help us to keep it independent.

The Tampa Film Conference is primarily set up to support Tampa filmmakers and filmmaking in Tampa Bay, as well as innovation in the independent film industry. There is no conflict of interest with outside interests, organizations, and government agencies which do not have the best interests of Tampa filmmakers in mind.
The Tampa Film Conference will facilitate the free exchange of ideas between indie filmmakers, and will allow participants to gauge the progress of the Tampa film community. This moderated think-tank will open up the potential for the Tampa indie film industry to become an innovative, and respected, leader in the worldwide indie film industry. It is one of our objectives to help make Tampa filmmaking the top indie film industry in the southeastern United States, and to help Tampa filmmakers establish Hollywood East here on their own.
The free exchange of ideas, however, as well as everything else, will be documented, and all filmmakers will bear witness. Everyone will get appropriate credit, and we will make all of this documentation freely available to anyone, including those who are engaging in legal action. By clarifying who does what, and who contributes what idea, we hope to help Tampa filmmakers get away from the unprofessional theft of ideas, the plagiarism, the credibility attacks, the cliques, the slander, and the politics which have crippled the Tampa film scene and held it back in the past.
By sharing ideas, and working as a group, we can make the Tampa indie film industry a leader in independent film.
At the time of this writing, February 27, 2010, the Tampa Film Conference is, at the very least, just over three years away, so any additional details of this event series is classified, and not published yet on this web site.
The Tampa Film Conference ties in with all of the film festivals by Tampa Bay Film. It is an annual indie film event by Tampa Bay Film and Eventi Events.
The Tampa Film Conference was envisioned, and designed, by professional event planner C. A. Passinault. C. A. Passinault is also the director of Tampa Bay Film, and the owner of Eventi Events.
